A major mistake that people are starting to make when promoting their opportunity is that they tend to get lazy and get into a routine of doing the same things in terms of marketing with often poor results.
I can't tell you the number of times I've heard people say they've failed in their opportunity because all their sponsor taught them to do was post up a few youtube videos and post some free classified ads on craigslist. The unfortunate fact is that craigslist isn't very good anymore since it became oversaturated with too many people hyping up get rich quick deals and especially cash gifting. So craigslist began flagging ads like crazy and started adding restrictions like having to get a phone verified account and limiting everyone to 3 ads per day. And unfortunatley to see results with the free classified ads you have to post 30-60 ads every single day.
As per youtube most people are misinformed about how to use it. People initially were told to just put up a video to hype up and promote their website or opportunity. What happened was that youtube just became oversaturated with everyone doing the same thing thus an oversaturation of people just basically spamming youtube with videos which are essentially hyped up commercials.
The proper way to use youtube is to provide useful content and valuable information and to mostly make new friends and contacts. Basically to build relationships with like minded people who might join you in your opportuinity or vice versa if you provide them value.
So in closing craiglist can work ok once in awhile but don't rely on it too much. And youtube is a great way to network and make new contacts with like minded people who may be interested in what you have to offer but don't rely on it to make you tons of sales. Just approach it as a place to mingle and make new friends and to also get free advice
